Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Leadership: Champion and enforce safety protocols to achieve outstanding performance outcomes, ensuring a healthy and secure work environment for all staff and contractors.
  • Operational Excellence: Effectively manage daily operations, prioritizing production goals while maintaining quality standards, forecasts, and efficiency.
  • People Development: Lead and inspire staff and contractors through hands-on management, mentorship, and open communication, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the site adheres to all licensing, consent, and regulatory requirements, staying up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
  • Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in strategic planning and execution of both short-term and long-term Capital Works and maintenance initiatives, driving growth and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven Leadership: Extensive experience in Quarrying Operations or Mining with a strong track record of leadership, inspiring and guiding teams towards success.
  • SSE Notice: Relevant Site Senior Executive (SSE) notice, demonstrating expertise in site management and operations.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to proactively identify, manage, and resolve issues as they arise, promoting a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Budget Management: Experience in developing and managing budgets, focusing on controlling expenditure while driving business growth.
  • LEAN Manufacturing Expertise: Familiarity with LEAN principles is highly desirable, as it aligns with our commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications: Relevant Quarry management qualifications and/or tertiary education, reflecting a strong foundation in quarry management principles and practices.
