Role Overview

A skilled and dedicated educator is sought to join our vibrant learning community at a secondary college. Our school values diversity, inclusivity, and student growth, which are reflected in our practices through form teacher roles, community events, and extra-curricular opportunities.

We welcome teachers who can build strong relationships with staff, students, and families. A comprehensive induction program will support you, with dedicated time for mentoring and coaching.

The college has a diverse student body, with over 50 different language backgrounds represented among families and staff. We celebrate this diversity through multicultural events and performances. Students experiencing challenges at home receive support through breakfast and homework clubs, as well as an allied health team.

As a classroom teacher, your primary focus will be on planning, preparing, and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes. You will engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and enhance their learning.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge of relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills, and experience in responding to student learning needs. They will also possess interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community.
