Citywide is currently seeking a skilled Water Features Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing water assets in some of Melbourne’s most iconic parks and gardens.

  • Maintaining water assets to ensure they are in good working condition." + "
  • Daily servicing of fountains and ponds to prevent litter, leaves, and debris from accumulating." + "
  • Regular testing and chemical dosing of water to maintain its quality." + "
  • Undertaking major cleans and repairs of water features as required." + "
  • Servicing and maintaining assets such as UV lamps, aerators, filters, and pumps." + "
  • Assisting in all areas of the Water Team, including plumbing, irrigation, and stormwater management as needed." + "
  • Keeping records and reporting any issues, defects, or repairs." + "
  • Assisting the Water Manager in quoting new or reinstated works as required." + "
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and supervising works." + "
  • Being available for on-call rosters from time to time.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Certificated Plumber AQF Level 4." + "
  • Experience in maintaining, installing, and repairing fountains, ponds, and water features." + "
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence." + "
  • First Aid Certificate." + "
  • Good verbal and written communication skills." + "
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions." + "
  • Strong time-keeping skills." + "
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills." + "
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, and able to work autonomously." + "
  • Working With Children Check.
