About This Role

We're seeking a seasoned expert to oversee allocated indirect spend categories and contribute to key projects in a strategically important sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing category management strategies, assisting stakeholders with supply chain and procurement activities, and contributing knowledge of supplier markets to drive competitive advantage and service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category management strategies across IT, facilities, legal, finance, fleet, and other allocated categories
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on supply chain and procurement activities, including cost optimisation, purchasing, forecasting, and risk management
  • Contribute knowledge of supplier markets to enhance competitive advantage and service delivery
  • Sustain alignment with sector supply chain processes, systems, and policy to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Partner with departments to identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for tactical and strategic purchasing
  • Maintain awareness of compliance requirements for suppliers in regulated environments
  • Establish a supply chain that supports business strategies, adapts to market changes, and optimises costs
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A degree in business or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in procurement, category management, or supply chain
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to business or project procurement activities
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain models within ERP systems
  • Desirable exposure to integration and transformation programs
  • Experience in regulated environments, preferably defence or ISO regulated
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, procurement, and supplier engagement practices
