Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in community services, leadership, and/or management.
  • Demonstrated strong ability/experience in management, leadership, and professional development of teams.
  • Display knowledge of current trends and issues in the Community Services sector.
  • Extensive experience in people management and fostering professional development.
  • Proven experience leading teams across diverse service offerings within a specific geographic region.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of issues surrounding homelessness, including alcohol and other drugs, family and domestic violence, unemployment, and mental health.
  • Strong experience in managing stakeholder relationships, including government and funders, showing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solutions-focused problem-solving skills.
  • Strong strategic financial acumen and experience in managing multiple budgets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a history of effective collaboration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Aboriginal cultural systems and protocols.
  • A demonstrated commitment to community and social outcomes, with personal alignment to Mission Australia's values and culture.
