Job Description

As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive occupational health services to our workforce.

This includes treating acute injuries and illnesses in the workplace, coordinating periodic medicals for the site and supporting pre-employment medicals.

You will also perform health assessment monitoring to company standards, managing return-to-work programs in conjunction with other healthcare providers and line managers.

Additionally, you will support workers' compensation and rehabilitation processes, coordinate and support the site's drug and alcohol testing program.

What You Will Bring

Certifications: Registered Nurse accredited with AHPRA;

Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in nursing;

Professional Experience: Relevant work experience in occupational health, including health monitoring, drug and alcohol testing and return-to-work program management;

Skills: Ability to identify and reduce occupational health related workplace hazards, demonstrated ability to work with injured or ill workers, line managers and other health related professionals and good communication skills;

Ongoing Learning: Keeping up with the latest occupational health legislation, standards, codes of practice and guidelines through continuous education and a passion for proactive pragmatic health initiatives in an occupational setting.
