Electrical Maintenance Role

About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking Electrician to join our Maintenance team as an Electrical Maintenance Technician.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining equipment and providing service to ensure efficient production line operation.
  • Responding to variable speed drives, servo motors, and systems, as well as robot programming and maintenance.
  • SUPPORTING improvement projects to reduce unplanned stoppages.
  • Coaching operators to improve their process knowledge and skills.
  • Reviewing, creating, and modifying preventative maintenance plans for optimum line performance.
  • Maintaining and improving OH&S and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards in the workplace.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current A Grade Electrical license with at least four years post-trade experience.
  • Excellent Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
  • The ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
  • Excellent trouble-shooting & Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) fault finding experience.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive cooperation and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • A willingness and ability to learn new processes.
  • The initiative and courage to speak out when correction is required.
  • At least two years' experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment is desirable.
