At Thales, we're driving progress in some of the world's most important industries – and working together to build a future we can all trust. We're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and waterfront engineering support for both onboard and onshore Naval Capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide waterfront electrical engineering support for onboard and onshore Naval Capabilities.
  • Ensure design compliance with technical requirements, cost, and schedule.
  • Attain Design Authority signatory status and Chartered status from Engineers Australia.
  • Develop engineering task plans including staffing, cost, schedule, and material requirements.
  • Work alongside a broad range of stakeholders to ensure project and task success.
  • Monitor and ensure quality and system safety requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in Electrical Systems design and support.
  • Proficiency in CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) and technical writing.
  • Strong analytical skills and safety/risk management knowledge.
  • Strong technical skills and broad exposure to technical issues.
  • Experience in HV/LV electrical infrastructure, repair, and/or maintenance and knowledge of Navy ship systems.
