Nursing Assistant Role

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Maroochydore Donor Centre. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our donors through their donation process, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • Create a positive and welcoming environment for donors
  • Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and collections equipment
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts on a rotating roster, including weekends and afternoon shifts
  • Comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
