Maitland City Council's aquatic centres are a key component of the LGA's leisure and recreation service offering, with over 185,000 visits each year. The Maitland Aquatic Centre features a combination of indoor and outdoor pools, an aquatic playground and children's wading pools, viewing grandstands and park areas, making the centres a popular destination for leisure, play, education, and fitness in the region.

About the Role

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join the aquatics industry or continue your career in this field. Our Aquatics Officer role encompasses kiosk customer service, Pool Lifeguard, Learn to Swim teacher or Aqua Fitness/Program Instructor. Opportunities exist for all levels of experience in these specialties, as well as in-house opportunities to cross-skill and develop in different areas.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to create a safe and enjoyable environment for the community. You will also have a strong work ethic and be able to work effectively in a team.

Benefits

This casual role offers a base hourly rate that ranges from $26.06 up to $31.90, dependent on your experience and skill levels across various aquatic centre functions. In addition, you will receive 25% casual loading plus weekend penalty rates (where applicable).
