Design Engineer for Rail Signalling Systems

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Design Engineer for Rail Signalling Systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of preliminary and detailed designs of signalling systems that comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of preliminary and detailed designs of signalling systems that comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare documentation of requirements and specifications in relation to signalling systems
  • Assist in factory acceptance testing and/or site testing of signalling systems and equipment
  • Participate in the commissioning of signalling systems
  • Report on design as required
  • Carry out design and design production checks on signalling design
  • Provide functional support and guidance to Assistant Design Engineers within the team on all aspects of signal design and documents within allocated projects
  • Preparation of technical details, specifications and tenders for signalling projects
  • Ensure technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of signalling system work as instructed
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 4-7 years of experience in railway signalling
