Job Summary

The Scots College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator/Teaching Assistant to support the strategic direction of our Early Years Centre. As a key member of our team, you will provide assistance to our experienced teachers in all areas of class/student learning and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for 3 and 4-year-old children
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of a Reggio Emilia-inspired learning environment
  • Engage in active play and learning with students, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify and address individual student needs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of classroom pedagogies and practices
  • Provide administrative support to the Early Years Centre team

Requirements

  • Certificate III Qualification in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience working with 3 and 4-year-old children
  • Understanding of Reggio Emilia philosophy and its application in early childhood education
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
