Corporate Tax Director

At GTAL, we're seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Manager to join our Melbourne team. As a key member of our corporate tax team, you'll be responsible for providing expert tax advice to clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage client relationships, providing exceptional service and ensuring timely delivery of tax services.
- Oversee tax compliance and governance for large client groups, including significant trusts.
- Support clients in transactions, providing tax advisory services and ensuring seamless integration with other business functions.
- Advise on business structuring and conduct tax due diligence, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Address tax issues in cross-border investments and structures, ensuring compliance with international tax laws.
- Handle revenue office submissions, reviews, and audits, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Provide tax advisory support to GTAL's wider team and professionals in our Affinity network.
- Coach, support, and lead team members, delivering technical training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
- University degree in Accounting/Finance, Business/Commerce, Legal, or relevant discipline.
- CA/CPA, CTA, or equivalent industry accreditation(s).
- Proven experience in corporate tax and advisory, ideally in public practice.
- Leadership experience, coaching, and mentoring.
- Proactive client relationship management and cross-selling.
- Demonstrated accountability and ownership.
