Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Education Lead

The role of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Education Lead is a vital position at the University of Melbourne, where you will have the opportunity to shape the future of Indigenous health education.

This position requires a dedicated professional with a doctoral qualification in a relevant field, experienced in tertiary curriculum development and committed to delivering positive social impact to Indigenous communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality curricula that incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and cultural competencies.
  • Promote cultural competency through training for staff and students.
  • Conduct research in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and publish findings.
  • Cultivate partnerships with health educators, professionals, and community partners to build capacity in culturally sensitive learning pedagogies.

You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to develop and implement educational programs that promote Indigenous health and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the review and implementation of policies and procedures that support Indigenous students and staff.
