Event Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of our flagship consumer event.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the event, including production management, budgeting, staffing, and vendor relationships.

They will work closely with our team to deliver an unforgettable experience that showcases the best in food, drink, and hospitality.

You will also need to be adaptable, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead production and management of annual event schedules, floor plans, curation, and budgets.
  2. Manage office staff, including event coordinators, and contractors and suppliers.
  3. Coordinate catering operations and ensure compliance with all food regulations.
  4. Manage event staff: onboarding, rosters, job sheets, and briefings.
  5. Oversee weekly WIP meetings and report on milestones.
  6. Research and implement new initiatives across the event.
  7. Manage compliance requirements, including liquor licensing, PLI, risk assessments, and health & safety plans.
  8. Oversee content updates for exhibitor and caterer manuals.
  9. Research, implement, and manage ticketing, registration, and lead retrieval systems.
  10. Oversee signage, staging, and any major installations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in planning and delivering major consumer events.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
  • Mac/Apple literate, with experience using Microsoft, Google Workspaces, Dropbox.
  • Eventdraw & Monday experience is a plus.
