This ensures policy and investment decisions of other levels of government and other strategic partners deliver the greatest benefit to our city and support our community's vision for City of Moreton Bay.
As a Senior Advocacy and Major Projects Officer, you will provide specialist technical and strategic advice and be responsible for the delivery of complex advocacy proposals and projects in a politically sensitive environment to support Council's advocacy agenda and the strategic interests of City of Moreton Bay.
You will work closely with the Principal to develop and implement strategic, tactical, and operational plans, projects, and initiatives that enhance Council's reputation and deliver positive investment and advocacy outcomes for the city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical specialist providing guidance and support to key stakeholders in the implementation of Council's advocacy agenda, including seeking external funding.
- Lead the delivery of complex and multi-disciplinary proposals and projects across the council and with external partners to achieve strategic and business outcomes.
- Provide advice and actively manage issues by understanding differing stakeholder perspectives, complex and politically sensitive relationships, and providing support to achieve positive outcomes for Council.
About You:
An excellent communicator, you will be an expert in building both internal and external relationships and providing accurate and timely advice. You'll also have ample experience and knowledge in the delivery of complex projects, policy research, and analytical skills.
You will have experience in coordinating projects with government, industry, and community partners, negotiating positive policy, reputation, and funding outcomes, and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
