Job Title: Ecology Technician

About the Role

This is an entry-level position that involves delivering on-ground works for the eradication of Yellow Crazy Ants in accordance with the Yellow Crazy Ant Management Program. The successful candidate will work within a small team and be supported by a Crew Leader – Yellow Crazy Ant.

About You

We are looking for someone who has the ability to work safely in remote environments, including farmland, untrekked mountains, and other natural bushland, residential properties, roadsides, parkland, construction, and industrial sites. The ideal candidate should also have the ability to operate a range of light plant items, machinery, and equipment associated with Yellow Crazy Ant management works.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A positive Notice Blue Card – Working with Children Queensland, or the ability to obtain it
  • The ability to obtain a Townsville City Council Authorised Persons and Local Government Worker Card
  • A current Manual
