Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product strategy and contribute to its continuous improvement and impact on relevant strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers from discovery through to delivery.
  • Develop holistic user experience designs by thinking about the customer's journey over time as they interact with the product and the company as a whole.
  • Create low and high-fidelity prototypes as a means for communicating ideas and soliciting feedback.
  • Incorporate both interaction design and visual design during product development.
  • Advocate for the product strategy and associated roadmaps both internally and with key external partners.
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on products and performance.
  • Facilitate workshops to tease out objectives, understand business requirements, identify problems to be solved, and brainstorm solutions.
  • Contribute to the community of best practices for product design at Transmax, improving our tools, processes, and educating others on design concepts as well as the importance of good design.
  • Coach and mentor other designers in their discovery, design, and delivery.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled Product Designer with a passion for user-centered design and a strong understanding of product development processes. You will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Computer Interaction, Information Technology, or a related field (or substantial equivalent industry experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in an Enterprise SaaS product design role.
  • Self-organizing and passionate about product design, while working in an empowered team model.
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate with engineers, other designers, and product managers to get the best outcome for the customer and Transmax.
  • Experience working in Agile teams within the SCRUM framework while iteratively delivering and discovering in parallel.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to think long-term and influence product strategy with knowledge gleaned from user research.
  • Comfortable leading people through highly ambiguous challenges to build a shared understanding of problems and explore the advantages/disadvantages of potential solutions.
  • Willingness to help improve product design practices with the goal of increasing product design productivity across the organization.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and growth.
