Enterprise Storage Leadership Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Enterprise Storage team, a deeply technical and hands-on group responsible for providing enterprise storage and backup services while working closely with the broader digital security, cloud engineering, and application teams.

As the Enterprise Storage Manager, you will be responsible for managing and evolving the team to deliver IT solutions across our storage and backup technology stacks.

Coles Technology has a hybrid cloud strategy, aiming to deliver a consistent infrastructure experience regardless of where a solution is delivered. This position will lead the evolution of Coles' core technology across private and public cloud platforms.

You'll be tasked with:

  • Uplifting the capability and discipline to enable cost-effective, fit-for-purpose, highly resilient service delivery at scale and pace for core infrastructure;
  • Increasing the level of service observability and measurability against best-in-class benchmarks;
  • Extending the delivery of storage and backup services to public cloud platforms;
  • Utilising automation and self-service to improve speed to value and provide better service where appropriate;

You'll need:

  • A track record of leading high-performing teams;
  • Proven performance in planning, delivering, and operating storage and backup infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise environment;
  • Strong working knowledge of public and private cloud platforms, including VMware, Azure, GCP, and physical server hardware;
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud-based storage, backup, and database solutions;
  • Excellent knowledge of building, delivering, and supporting enterprise technologies;
