About the Role

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is seeking highly skilled Intelligence Analysts to join our team in Perth. As an Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in the planning, development, and production of intelligence outcomes and outputs.

Key Responsibilities

At the APS5 level, you will:

  • Utilize unique ACIC capabilities to collect mission-critical intelligence and derive insights through analysis.
  • Distil intelligence collected into impactful intelligence products for dissemination.
  • Provide tactical intelligence support through the conduct of criminal intelligence operations.
  • Maintain awareness of the contemporary criminal environment to identify opportunities in line with agency priorities.

At the APS6 level, you will:

  • Conduct complex intelligence analysis across a range of data, information, and intelligence sources.
  • Utilize unique ACIC capabilities to collect mission-critical intelligence and derive insights through analysis.
  • Distil intelligence collected into impactful intelligence products for dissemination.
  • Provide tactical intelligence support and leadership across operational intelligence production.
  • Maintain a thorough awareness of the contemporary criminal environment to identify opportunities in line with agency priorities.
Requirements

To be successful in these roles, you will demonstrate:

  • Ability to develop high-quality intelligence products that inform decision-making.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to develop knowledge of data interrogation, research capabilities, and threat assessment methodologies.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, make assessments, and derive unique insights.
  • Ability to develop sound analytic tradecraft, including the ability to conduct complex analysis.
  • Demonstrates a curious and inquisitive approach, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, or insights from intelligence operations and investigations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of the serious and organised crime environment to identify priorities.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory, and policy frameworks for intelligence within a law enforcement environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships that promote information sharing and a common understanding.
Eligibility

To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must:

  • Be an Australian citizen.
  • Obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
  • Satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment.
