Job Description

This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation, providing vital support and ensuring seamless project execution. As the Senior Freight Strategy Manager, you will play a key part in managing and coordinating regulatory and pricing frameworks.

The role involves establishing pricing methodologies, setting prices, and managing commercial arrangements for public and third-party rail operators. You will oversee contract management, customer relations, and dispute resolution for rail access administration.

You will also lead annual compliance reporting to IPART, coordinating data gathering and drafting submissions. Additionally, you will establish assurance, audit, and compliance processes for non-price access products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage economic regulatory and pricing accountabilities for Transport Asset Management (TAM)
  • Oversee contract management, customer relations, and dispute resolution for rail access administration
  • Lead annual compliance reporting to IPART

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Senior economic commercial experience in a regulated asset delivery environment
  • Expert knowledge of regulatory frameworks in complex commercial organisations
  • Infrastructure pricing experience in regulated environments
  • Commercial negotiation skills
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in Economics, Finance, Law, or a relevant discipline
