Job Title: Freight Strategy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Strategy Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation in NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of regulatory and pricing frameworks for Transport Asset Management (TAM).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage commercial arrangements for public and third-party rail operators.
  • Coordinate all economic regulatory and pricing accountabilities for TAM.
  • Oversee the management of rail access administration and contract management consistent with the requirements of the NSW Rail Access Undertaking and individual rail operator access agreements.
  • Lead annual compliance reporting to IPART, coordinating data gathering, drafting, preparing, and obtaining approval of submissions.
  • Establish assurance processes for the delivery of non-price access products and services by TAM Agents.

The successful candidate will also work closely with Transport for NSW's PIP and SPER divisions to achieve government policy objectives for freight on rail.

Requirements:
  • Senior economic commercial experience in a regulated asset delivery environment.
  • Expert knowledge of regulatory frameworks in large and complex commercial organisations.
  • Infrastructure pricing experience in regulated environments.
  • Commercial negotiation skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in Economics, Finance, or Law.
