About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team at NSW Health Pathology. As a key member of our Fusion program, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery across NSW.

  • Develop innovative analytical solutions to support statewide digital transformation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement a new statewide laboratory information management system.
  • Lead data best practices and promote data literacy across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

The Data Scientist will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing analytical solutions and dashboards to support informed decision making.
  • Adopting and implementing NSWHP approved best practices and standards for data collection and curation.
  • Disseminating analytical output and promoting data-driven decision making.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications in statistics, machine learning, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced analytic skills, data processing, and modelling skills.
  • Experience with cloud computing analytics infrastructure and integration tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
