We are seeking an experienced Emergency Vet Nurse to join our team at our hospital in Sydney. Our hospital is a respected emergency and specialist veterinary hospital, providing 24-hour emergency and critical care services.
About the Role- As an Emergency Vet Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill and injured patients from triage throughout their stay with us.
- You will work directly with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective treatment and patient care.
Your duties will include:
- Monitoring patients closely, administering medications, assisting with medical and surgical procedures as needed
- IV catheter placement, blood collection, assisting with diagnostic imaging
- Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols
- Client communication, providing advice, answering questions and supporting clients during stressful times
- Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- A passion to advance your skills with regular continuing education and ongoing mentorship
- Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask/prioritize
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care even in busy conditions
- A friendly, team-player attitude
- Strong communication skills
