About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caseworker to join our team in providing effective case management services to individuals experiencing domestic and family violence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality support, information, and safety planning to clients, as well as utilizing brief crisis intervention strategies for timely intake, triage, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive case management services to support clients in remaining separated from a violent partner.
- Offer information, support, and safety planning to empower clients to make informed decisions.
- Utilize crisis intervention strategies to provide timely and effective support.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area, such as Social Work or Welfare.
- Experience or extensive knowledge in Domestic and Family Violence or related specialist areas.
- Understanding of domestic violence, its complexities, and consequences.
- Negotiation and advocacy skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of Police, Courts, and interpreter services.
- A Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check.
- A NSW Driver's Licence and insured vehicle.
