We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Team in Australia.

This role is responsible for providing accounting support for Smartsheet, a fast-growing SaaS company with expanding international operations.

The team is currently responsible for the Australian and Japanese legal entities, which are subsidiaries of Smartsheet.

This position will encompass a work scope across Corporate Accounting and other accounting and finance functions as required.

Key responsibilities include participating in the monthly close process, preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, participating in annual statutory reporting, developing a deep understanding of transactional flow through various systems, and providing analysis of variances between financial results.

In addition, the successful candidate will create and maintain standard operating procedures, help build and scale processes in accordance with best practices, and participate in continued development and evaluation of internal controls and processes.

A strong background in accounting/audit practice and/or finance functions, with relevant certifications such as Chartered Accountant or equivalent, is essential for this role.

Prior experience with an ERP system and online accounting software, as well as knowledge of AASB/IFRS (US GAAP also preferred), is highly valued.

Salary Estimate: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
