Personal Care Specialist

At our community, we aim to provide exceptional care to our residents. This is an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Care Professional to join us in delivering high-quality support.
The role of a Care Professional is instrumental in ensuring our residents receive the physical, emotional, and lifestyle care they need. You will be part of an integrated team working within established frameworks to attend to the personal needs of residents.
- Support residents to maintain their independence and promote choice.
- Contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs and wants of residents through assessment and observation.
- Implement interventions as delegated by healthcare professionals, and as documented in resident plans.
- Assist residents with daily living tasks while encouraging self-reliance.
About You:
- Qualification in aged or individual support (Essential)
- Ability to engage with residents and experience in dementia support
- Effective communication skills; both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks
- Demonstrated flexibility, empathy, and patience when interacting with residents and their families
- Demonstrated ability to provide holistic care
- Demonstrated respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and self-esteem
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures
