Job Title: Activation and Events Coordinator

This is a full-time permanent position at the City of Port Adelaide and Enfield.

We are seeking an experienced Activation and Events Coordinator to join our Placemaking & Activation team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in a senior events/activation role and will be responsible for leading, producing, and delivering placemaking and activation projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver placemaking and activation projects and initiatives, including large-scale and/or multi-faceted Council-led events.
  • Provide event and activation knowledge, guidance, and coaching to increase the professionalism and delivery of events across Council teams and the community.
  • Prepare contracts, agreements, permits, and reports.

The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, willingness to work in a team environment, and enjoy a multi-faceted role. They will also have outstanding interpersonal skills that build good working relationships and be passionate about making a genuine difference to their team and community.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a senior events/activation role.
  • Innovative thinking and courage to try new ideas.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver projects and programs with creative and strategic outcomes.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to and interest in supporting the community with community-led activations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the changing landscape of festivals and events - including trends, participation, and funding arrangements.

This is a Level 5 position with a current salary range of $100,784 - $105,336 per annum (plus superannuation).
