Speech Pathologist Role Overview

NextSense is a not-for-profit organisation supporting people with vision or hearing loss across Australia.

We work with children, adults, and their families, providing a holistic approach to hearing services for newborns through to people over 90 years old, and helping children who are blind or have low vision to develop the right skills, mobility, and independence to confidently explore their world.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our team in Canberra. The role reports directly to the Team Lead.

You will make a difference in this role by:

  • Providing high-quality, client-centred services that assist individuals with vision and hearing loss to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Implementing best practice services for clients in clinical and educational settings.
  • Delivering evidence-based assessment, intervention supports, and other strategies to assist clients in achieving outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor in speech pathology or equivalent, minimum 3 years' experience providing speech pathology services, sound clinical skills and knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
