Senior Project Lead - Design Development

This is a high-profile leadership opportunity to oversee the execution of multiple design development projects for Hobart Class Destroyers.

The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager and provide strategic technical management and leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of engineers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating project scope and identifying potential conflicts or inefficiencies
  • Ensuring consistent planning and reporting across all design projects
  • Maintaining the overall health of the design portfolio

A minimum of 10 years' experience in managing complex design development programs and leading teams within the Australian Defence Industry is required.

Broad experience in various roles, including designer positions within design development teams, is also essential.

NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory for this role, as well as a degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Software or similar) and relevant professional certifications.
