Senior Linux Kernel Leader

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Linux Kernel Leader to lead our team of software engineers in the development and maintenance of all Linux kernels provided by our distribution.

  • This role involves:
  • Leading a distributed team in distinct aspects of delivery, ensuring high-quality standards, and mitigating security threats
  • Taking ownership of particular aspects of our Linux distribution, including working with silicon or cloud partners, hardware platform support, quality control, and process automation

Your primary responsibility will be to your team: helping them grow as engineers, do important work, and have a great time while doing it. Technical leadership experience and a background in software engineering are necessary prerequisites for this role.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Linux and aspire to be an integral part in its distribution to millions of users worldwide. The successful candidate will be expected to lead, challenge, and develop strong engineers, positively influence the culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work with your team on strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a distributed team of software engineers in distinct aspects of delivery
