The Financial Controller is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial health of Acusensus, ensuring compliance with statutory accounting and government regulations, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to introduce, maintain, and control a scalable financial management system and controls.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Manage the half-year and full-year audit process, relationship with auditors, and assist with reporting to the Audit Committee.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to financial reporting and disclosure in the jurisdictions Acusensus operates (Australia, UK, and US).
- Oversee tax compliance and planning across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely filings and optimal tax strategies.
- Coordinate and lead the month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial records.
- Provide financial management reporting, analysis, and guidance to support the executive team and Board.
- Assist in process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- CA, CPA, or other relevant professional certifications are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7+ years experience with audit and ASX listed company background.
- Management and leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, particularly those associated with technology and manufacturing companies.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Netsuite, Excel, and financial reporting platforms.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements, implementing best practices, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
