Sheet Metal Fabricator and Installer

We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in fabricating and installing ductwork systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate custom ductwork components using sheet metal tools and equipment, adhering to precise measurements and specifications.
  • Install duct systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, ensuring optimal airflow and ventilation efficiency through proper alignment and support.
  • Select suitable metal stock based on project requirements, taking into account size, dimension, and material properties.
  • Cut, shape, and form metal stock into duct components utilizing hand and power shears, drills, folding and bending machines, rollers, presses, and hammers.
  • Perform finishing processes such as polishing, filing, sanding, and cleaning to enhance the appearance and functionality of fabricated ductwork components.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on installed ductwork systems to guarantee compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate III or Certificate IV in a relevant field or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities across multiple projects and tasks.
  • A helpful, positive attitude towards problem-solving and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in reading and working from Mechanical/Architectural drawings.
