Job Summary

As a skilled forklift mechanic/service technician, you will play a vital role in the company's growth and success by delivering exceptional service to customers while performing scheduled maintenance and safety checks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and repair material handling equipment in a dedicated territory and customer base to help build positive customer experiences.
  • Utilize field-based mobile technology to manage your daily work schedule.
  • Maintain inventory on your allocated service van and at customer sites, delivering a professional level of service.
  • Gain experience with top-tier customers in Australia.
  • Perform routine maintenance and complete service work, accurately maintaining records of work performed.

Typical Tasks and Duties:
  • Conduct customer-focused scheduled and breakdown services.
  • Assist in preparing field-based quotes for customers by completing jobs.
  • Record notes and file service records, providing high-level customer service to solve material handling needs.
  • Access to industry-leading training and development opportunities, including potential training of less experienced technicians.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge, including emerging technologies in automation and telematics.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new products, and services.
  • Partner with the Company to maximize additional sales and service across a dedicated customer base.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a forklift mechanic or service technician is valued but not essential.
  • Ability to perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
