Safeguarding Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safeguarding Support Officer to join our team at Catholic Schools Broken Bay.
This is a significant role in ensuring we meet our responsibilities in supporting safeguarding practices and maintaining a child safe culture.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Safeguarding Lead and Safeguarding Partners, as well as other CSBB staff, regarding safeguarding administration, case files, investigations, and practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support for safeguarding matters within safeguarding and child protection legislation
- Assisting with gathering statistics and data for reporting and professional learning content
- Supporting the Safeguarding Lead and Safeguarding Partners with school processes for legislative and policy requirements in safeguarding
- Providing records and file management support for professional standards cases, including investigations and National Redress matters
- Triaging calls, tickets, and emails from school principals, staff, and the wider community regarding safeguarding and child safe standards
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a case support role, social work, or teaching, with a strong understanding of child safe standards and safeguarding practices in an education setting.
They will also possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
