About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Designer to join our team at Auto & General. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective digital assets that drive business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and design digital assets that meet campaign objectives and enhance the Budget Direct brand.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and manage device-optimized digital assets for various channels, including websites, social media, and banner ads.
  • Produce high-quality video assets, including overlays, supers, and motion graphics.
  • Edit video content for YouTube, outdoor ads, online ads, and social platforms.
  • Assist team members with creative briefs and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Ensure web and design assets are reusable and aligned with campaign goals.
  • Design websites and landing pages, confirming scope with stakeholders.
  • Create HTML5 banners for marketing campaigns.
  • Update the brand style guide with the team.
  • Identify and promote training opportunities for the design team.
  • Stay up-to-date on design, marketing, and UX trends.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital design and video editing.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Portfolio or examples of work.
  • Expertise in Google Web Designer, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder).
  • Proficient in UI and UX best practices.
  • Knowledge of mobile-first and responsive web design.
  • Experience with video assets for Australian digital media channels (desirable).
  • Ability to lead digital projects from design to development.
  • Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Skills in motion graphics and animation.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; JavaScript knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience in an Agile team environment (desirable).
