As a leading manufacturer of timber, we are seeking skilled tradespeople to join our team. Our company prides itself on working safely and effectively as a team to produce high-quality products for distribution throughout Australia.

The primary responsibilities of this role include conducting preventative maintenance tasks, identifying opportunities for improvement, and utilizing trade skills to enhance plant and equipment.

Key duties include:

- Identifying safety hazards before commencing tasks and implementing controls to minimize risks
- Utilizing production shutdown opportunities to perform maintenance on plant and equipment
- Attending breakdowns to resolve mechanical issues and enable speedy resumption of production
- Conducting visual inspections and reporting any findings to your supervisor
- Performing deep-level maintenance during shutdown periods

For this role, we are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

- Trade certificate in Mechanical Fitting
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting aptitude
- Excellent ability to learn new skills
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and interpret engineering drawings

It would be advantageous if you had experience with materials handling plant and equipment, manufacturing/milling fixed plant maintenance, hydraulics/pneumatics maintenance, NDT, basic welding skills, or a high-risk work license.

This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring applicants to work 45-50 hours per week. You will be required to work rotating shifts, including day shifts, night shifts, and overtime, as well as weekends.
