About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled professional to make a positive contribution in a dynamic environment at BDO Australia.

The purpose of this position is to provide specialist support to Data Owners, helping them meet their accountabilities over data in their assigned Data Domains. This includes building and maintaining strong working relationships with business and shared service support teams to advocate for best practices in data management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Data Owners to implement the Data Management Framework by turning policies and standards into practice. They will also contribute to the design, administration, and curation of the Enterprise Data Catalogue, promoting its adoption in the business.

Additionally, the role involves supporting the Data Governance & Quality Manager to implement and maintain data policies, standards, procedures, operating models, and tools. The candidate will work closely with the Data Quality Analyst to implement Data Quality Management Plans and collaborate with the Data Compliance Analyst to implement data compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in a data management role in a large or complex environment. They should possess tertiary qualifications in business, IT, or data management and have a general understanding of data management frameworks, data risk management, data models, data catalogues, business glossary, and data dictionaries.

A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, SQL, and Power BI skills are beneficial but not essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to see the big picture, and effective communication skills.
