Our team is seeking a highly organized and experienced procurement professional to join our national organization.
Key Responsibilities- Manage key supplier relationships to ensure contracted service level agreements are met.
- Source new suppliers and manage existing strategic partnerships.
- Identify opportunities for supply chain synergies in various areas, including food, utilities, uniforms, personal protective equipment, and services.
- Conduct internal audits to detect potential cost savings in areas such as food and utility purchases.
- Develop business cases and sourcing strategies to implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Oversee end-to-end cost-saving projects from procurement to payment.
- Regularly review categories, identify opportunities through market insights, and leverage best practices in the procurement process.
- Assist in maintaining supplier master contract files and contract registers, while negotiating best value and delivering improved outcomes.
- Authorize non-standard product invoices in conjunction with senior management.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new or improved products and services within designated categories.
- Coordinate delivery timetables and communicate with suppliers to ensure orders and delivery times are met.
- Solve supply chain issues promptly.
- Proven success in a similar role.
- Experienced professional with a background in procurement management, managing purchasing spends of over $100 million annually.
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end procurement process and commercial acumen to adapt to market conditions.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as CIPS/APICS or similar certifications.
- Demonstrated track record in achieving savings through strategic sourcing.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP and procurement systems.
- BI and/or spend analytics reporting experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in competitive tender processes.
- Experience in SC relationship management, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Knowledge of category management principles and cost factors.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
