Highway Road Technician

A challenging opportunity exists for a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team.

This role involves performing a range of tasks related to road maintenance, including vegetation management and operating equipment.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in general maintenance duties associated with roads and roadsides, as well as excellent communication skills.

• We are looking for someone who is able to work safely in confined spaces, excavations and at heights.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on roads and roadsides, including vegetation management.
• Operate various items of minor plant and equipment, such as spray equipment.
• Assist with other road maintenance activities as required.

• Demonstrated understanding of and/or experience in general maintenance duties associated with roads and roadsides.
• Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated ability to operate various items of minor plant and equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in and ability to perform a range of physical labouring duties.
• Chemical Spray Ticket (current), or demonstrated extensive experience in spraying chemicals and willingness to obtain a ticket and apply chemicals.
• Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual transmission.
• Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card).
