Key Legal Role

We are a global leader in health technology, expanding our presence in Australia. We seek a commercially minded lawyer to join our local team and provide strategic legal guidance that shapes commercial success and improves healthcare outcomes across the country.

Based in Adelaide or Melbourne, you will have autonomy to manage the Australian legal landscape while being part of a supportive global legal function. You will be a true partner to the business, providing advice that directly impacts commercial success.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements, including SaaS contracts, software licensing, and vendor partnerships. Ensure contracts are legally sound and commercially sharp.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the business. Translate complex legal issues into clear, practical advice that helps colleagues make informed decisions.
  • Managing Risk Proactively: Identifying and mitigating potential legal and regulatory risks. Work closely with commercial teams to find solutions.
  • Supporting Strategic Growth: Assisting with due diligence and other legal aspects of commercial transactions as the business grows in the region.
  • Helping to refine legal processes, policies, and templates to build a best-in-class legal function that is agile and fit for purpose.
Qualifications
  • Be an Australian-qualified lawyer with a current practicing certificate.
  • Have solid experience in corporate and commercial law (in-house or private practice) and be known for pragmatic, business-focused advice. Tech or health sector experience is highly valued.
  • Be a skilled negotiator and communicator, excelling at partnering with commercial teams and translating complex legal issues into clear guidance.
  • Be highly organized, adaptable, and thrive on managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
