Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Finance Officer to join our team and contribute to the financial success of our hotel. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills across a range of financial functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general cashiering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Process credit applications and manage accounts receivable with precision.
    • Ensure timely invoicing and debt collection.
    • Maintain accurate records and resolve debtor inquiries efficiently.
    • Verify credit card transactions and process payments accurately.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Verify invoices for accuracy and ensure proper authorization.
    • Maintain up-to-date vendor information and process payments according to terms.
    • Conduct reconciliations and ensure accurate accounting practices.
  • General Cashiering:
    • Manage cash collections from hotel outlets.
    • Assist with end-of-month journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure secure cash handling practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or a related field. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Night Auditor or Finance Officer, preferably in hospitality, is also required. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and financial software, are essential. Self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills are highly desirable.
