Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

The Role Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and maintain our IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of reliability, security, and performance principles to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure and support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and Implementation: planning, designing, and implementing new infrastructure components or solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud services.
  2. Troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring the infrastructure operates efficiently.
  3. Monitoring and Optimisation: proactively monitoring infrastructure performance, identifying potential problems, and optimising systems for efficiency and performance.

Cyber Security Environment

  • Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect infrastructure from cyber threats and unauthorised access.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for infrastructure components, configurations, and procedures.

  • We operate within the Service Management Branch and provide a leading edge ICT platform for monitoring, managing, detecting, deterring and responding to all cyber security threats.
  • Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service and supporting the Department of Defence.
