Job Overview

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving technical challenges. As a customer-facing Parts Interpreter, you'll manage spare parts enquiries, sales, and inventory coordination for compressed air equipment and associated products, ensuring customers receive accurate, timely, and professional support.

  • Handle parts enquiries via phone, counter, web, and email, including preparing and managing quotations.
  • Manage stock allocation, prioritise distribution, and coordinate backorders with inventory and suppliers.
  • Weekly invoices raised and submitted.
  • Work closely with our Storeperson to ensure seamless inventory management.
  • Process over-the-counter and phone sales, including EFTPOS transactions and documentation.
  • Operate OEM databases to provide technical information and submit stock variation requests.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the integrity of stock transactions.
  • Liaise with inventory teams to ensure stock levels meet customer demand.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar technical sales or interpreter role.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and technical databases.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
