Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic to join our team at Workforce Australia for Individuals. As a Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of faults on heavy equipment, as well as performing routine maintenance and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical and Mechanical Diagnosis and Repair: Conduct thorough electrical and mechanical diagnoses to identify and repair faults on heavy equipment.
  • Maintenance and Services: Perform routine maintenance and services on heavy equipment, including major and minor repairs.
  • Component Replacement: Replace components as needed to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of heavy equipment.
  • Machine Health Assessments: Conduct regular machine health assessments to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately complete documentation, including timesheets and maintenance requests, to ensure compliance and transparency.

Requirements

  • Trade Qualification: Possess a trade qualification in a heavy plant trade, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Diesel.
  • Diagnostics and Fault-Finding Knowledge: Demonstrate strong diagnostics and fault-finding knowledge and skills.
  • Communication and Motivation: Possess excellent communication and motivation skills to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Previous Experience: Have previous experience working with heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Driver's License: Hold a current driver's license to operate heavy equipment.
