Job Opportunity: Permanent Full-Time position for a skilled Tyre Fitter within a well-established and steadily growing tyre business focused on light vehicles, trucks, and OTR service vehicles.
About the Role:
- Requires experience as a Tyre Fitter with a strong background in fitting, fixing, removing, and replacing tyres on cars and trucks.
- Based on experience, a competitive salary will be offered.
- Located in Townsville.
A Typical Day: will include allocating stock, fixing and repairing tyres, removing and replacing tyres, providing administrative support when required, advising on correct tyres, tubes, and rims, diagnosing wheel balance problems, and balancing wheels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on different vehicles from passenger to heavy transport and OTR vehicles.
- Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm.
About the Company: is a steadily growing tyre business, established over 20 years ago, focused on commercial, industrial, and earthmover services. They currently operate statewide with light vehicle, truck, and OTR service vehicles. As an independent tyre retailer, they offer tyres from all three tiers, plus technical support and backup service to ensure maximum life and lowest cost per kilometre.
Requirements:
- Must have experience as a Tyre Fitter.
- Fantastic written and verbal communication skills.
- Physically fit.
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
- Hold a current manual driver's license.
- Passion and interest in the automotive industry.
- Have an absolute commitment to health and safety.
About the Work Environment:
- Work as a Tyre Fitter inside a workshop team with general duties such as puncture repairs, fitting new and second tyres, jacking trucks using axle stands, operating a forklift to unload stock and maintain the yard.
- Fleet management, truck and car tyre fitting and balancing, field tyre fitting (service truck).
- Tyre fitting on trucks/trailers, general workshop cleaning/tidying, warehouse organising.
- Fitted passenger, 4WD, and truck tyres, balancing, and puncture repairs at a busy truck tyre shop.
