Job Title: Spatial Planning Expert

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Spatial Planning Expert to assist with the assessment of development applications, preparation of planning reports and recommendations, and coordination with stakeholders.

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of development applications to ensure compliance with relevant planning regulations and schemes.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise, and well-supported planning reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Liaise effectively with developers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth approval processes.
  • Interpret and apply relevant council planning schemes and legislation to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery of projects in accordance with Australian council guidelines.
Requirements
  • Possession of a qualification in Urban or Regional Planning or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in spatial planning, preferably 3+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian planning legislation, standards, and policies.
  • Abilities to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications, insurance, and software licenses.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
