Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of GIS Specialist within the Information Technology division at EBR. This position is essential in assisting the GIS Manager with the enhancement of their proprietary systems. In exchange, EBR provides a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Qualifications:
- A degree in Spatial Science, Geography, Environmental Science, GIS, or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- A proactive and positive mindset
- Proficiency in interpreting and modifying geospatial vector and imagery data
- Experience in programming with OpenLayers, HTML5, JavaScript, Python, AngularJS, CSS, XML, JSON, and SQL
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with stakeholders to gather and define operational needs for system integration
- Experience in creating web mapping applications and services utilizing GeoServer, ESRI, and ArcGIS, including mobile applications (e.g., Collector, Survey123)
