Job Description:

The APS6 Intake Allocator plays a vital role in connecting clients to mental health services. This rewarding role combines clinical acumen with operational support, offering an opportunity for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage regional intake and referral queues, ensuring timely allocation of clients to clinicians.
  • Conduct intake assessments for couples and family counselling, including Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) screening.
  • Liaise with clients, clinicians, and internal teams to provide trauma-informed, client-centred support.
  • Maintain a small clinical caseload and support internal referrals.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, program evaluation, and clinical policy development.
Requirements:
  • A warm, empathic, and professional therapeutic approach.
  • Sound clinical judgement, attention to detail, and effective time management.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks confidently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed care.
  • Experience in assessing and managing risk, particularly in family and domestic violence contexts.
