Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. As a key member of our tax team, you will work closely with finance professionals and external consultants to advise on corporate and international tax issues related to large-scale, cross-border engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze international tax compliance and planning implications to support tax guidance to business for foreign operations.
  • Prepare and review workpapers associated with tax forecasts, accruals, and provisions for operations in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies and policies to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior tax management to prepare guidance on tax implications of proposed transactions and restructurings.
  • Review and prepare tax returns, information forms, and other filing requirements associated with operations in the Asia Pacific region.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
  • Professional certification in accounting or taxation (CPA, ICAANZ, or Tax Institute membership).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tax preparation and planning/structuring for large multinational corporations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of tax accruals and tax effect accounting concepts.
  • Experience with transfer pricing principles and associated requirements.
  • Knowledge of the OECD's BEPS initiatives, including hybrid mismatch rules and Pillar Two.
